Wisdom Funds Pty Ltd is an Australian based, value focused, active equity funds manager that has a disciplined and rigorous approach to fundamental bottom up stock picking. The company was founded by Simon Bridger who has over 30 years’ experience working in the financial markets in Australia and abroad. Simon holds a degree in Commerce from the University of New South Wales and a Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment.
Prior to founding Wisdom Funds Simon worked as a portfolio manager, managing dedicated Ethical funds for ASX listed investment manager Hunter Hall International Ltd (July 2012 to June 2016) and Perpetual Investments Ltd (July 2008 to Sep 2011). At Hunter Hall Simon was responsible for managing a segment of the firms’ retail funds in International equities in addition to developing the institutional mandates business. At Perpetual Investments Simon managed the Australian Sustainability Mandate and the Wholesale Ethical SRI Fund, the latter was nominated for Ethical Investor of the year at the 10th Annual Australian Sustainability Awards in December 2010.
Wisdom Funds is an independently owned company. The boutique model and performance driven remuneration structure supports the company’s investment focused culture by aligning the interests of management with those of investors. Importantly, management is co-invested alongside unit holders in the Wisdom Australian Equities Fund.
