Wisdom Funds Pty Ltd, ABN 48 613 550 244, Australian Financial Services Licence 491887, (“Wisdom Funds” “us” “we” “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and maintains a policy of strict confidence concerning any personal information you provide to us.

Collection, maintenance and disclosure of certain personal information is governed by legislation including (but not limited to) the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APP’s) which, together with related rules require us to establish and maintain an APPs Policy.

This document sets out our personal information management practices. It aims to promote the protection of the privacy of individuals and to promote responsible and transparent handling of personal information held in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.

 

Collection of personal information

We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary and only collect such information by lawful and fair means within the requirements of the legislation.

We may collect personal information in various ways such as via conversation, email, or hardcopy forms. In most situations we collect personal information directly from you. We may however also collect information via third parties such as your financial advisor or another person or persons nominated by you including our administrator or custodian.

We do not collect sensitive information about an individual unless the individual consents to the collection of the information and the information is reasonably necessary for one or more of the Company’s functions or activities.

General enquiries about our products and services can be handled anonymously however failure to provide requested personal information may mean that we cannot provide services to you or we may be forced to withdraw our services.

 

Dealing with personal information

We only use personal information about an individual for the primary purpose for which it was collected and do not use or disclose the information for another purpose without the individuals consent or unless required by law.
We may disclose personal information to external parties including (but not limited to):

Contractors or service providers, some of whom may operate overseas or have overseas operations that assist us with functions like custody, registry, unit registry, system administrators, mailing house, printing and marketing companies, payment processors, data entry service providers, superannuation and various professional advisors such as accountants, solicitors and other third parties with whom we have commercial relationships for business related purposes including our related body corporates.

Organisations that you have consented disclosing your personal information to, including your financial advisor/planner, asset consultant, legal advisor, broker or other agents and their service providers

Other third parties where required or authorised by law, which may include emergency situations and assisting government agencies or regulatory bodies such as Australian Securities and Investment Commission, Australian Taxation Office or AUSTRAC or any other regulator or law enforcement agency located in Australia or as required by the law.

 

Integrity of personal information

We take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information that we collect is accurate, up to date, complete and protected from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
 

Access to and correction of personal information

We can provide access to the information held about you upon receipt of a written request to either info@wisdomfunds.com.au or to the address below. We will respond to a request for access to personal information that has been retained on you within 30 days and will give access to the information if it is reasonable and practicable to do so and within requirements of the law. We take reasonable steps to ensure that information held is accurate, up to date, complete, relevant and not misleading. If you become aware that information about you is out of date or wrong particularly name address and contact details please contact us and we will make relevant corrections to our records.
 

Website users

If you visit our website, our system may record information such as the date and time of your visit, the pages accessed and any information downloaded. We use this information for statistical, reporting and maintenance purposes only. Whilst we take great care to protect personal information on our website, unfortunately no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed secure. Accordingly, we cannot ensure the security of any information you send to us or receive from us online. The website may contain links to other sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or policies of any other site.


Complaints

If you wish to complain about any breach or potential breach of this privacy policy or the Australian Privacy Principles, your complaint should be directed to our Privacy Officer in writing at info@wisdomfunds.com.au or to Wisdom Funds at the address below.

We will endeavour to resolve any complaint to your satisfaction. However, if we are unable to satisfactorily resolve your concerns you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner who may investigate your complaint further.


Changes to Privacy Policy

We may make changes to our privacy policies and practices from time to time. We will publish any important changes on our website and if necessary update this policy.
